the urban setting was beautiful.. the score to the movie is scary and unnerving. Put Hellraiser and Candyman up against most modern horror movies and they still seem really brutal. You could almost argue that Candyman wasn't even real, and that its actually Helen's descent into madness. I still don't know if Candyman is real or if it was all in Helen's head and she was the killer the whole time. So, Candyman is using these tortured souls from inside the hive. Tony Todd was so inhuman and freaky too, every time he appears its like a fever nightmare, like how he floats effortlessly and his creepy disembodied voice … Jordan Peele's production of Candyman is one of the most hotly anticipated horror movies of 2020, but fans hoping for greatness may be sorely disappointed--if what Mr. H has heard is true.
this movie is a true classic that came out of the 90's. there is no way this movie should be a 6, this makes no sense. Candyman has woven himself into the mythology of the Region, and I can personally assure you the fear he engenders is very, very real.
